Budokon basic practice vs. weight loss system
|
| Review Date: November 28, 2005 |
| Reviewer: Aaron Jones, Reno, NV |
After reading these reviews I could not figure out which DVD set to buy. I wanted to know what the difference was between the two so I asked the guys at budokon and this is their response.
"We recommend the Beginners DVD for anyone who wants to learn basic fundamentals of the Budokon art. The Weight loss DVD is a longer workout split into three different time options with more repetitions and a Nutritional guide attached."
I can under stand why some of the other reviewers are upset because they were expecting a new work out.
I ended up buying the Bodukon weight loss system and I LOVE IT!!! I have been studying martial arts for a total of four years and yoga for a little over a year and this DVD set is a great complement to both. |
Efficiency of Accelerated 40 min program worth the price!

I enjoyed the Beginners Budokon so much that I thought this might be a step up. It is very similar, so the "redundant" comments in other reviews ring somewhat true, however the accelerated 40 minute workout is a perfect beginning to my day. Shayne doesn't waste time in this program and gets right to work. Not a big fan of fluff in my workouts. Gaiam typically doesnt' put you through a "DVD remote control workout" trying to get to the menu.
I read the nutritional guide and it is steering followers towards an organic and mostly vegetarian lifestyle. Great advice, but seemingly based more on personal beliefs than hard science. (Not my cup of (heavily caffeinated) tea.)
For whatever reason, I've found that I am willing to get up at the crack of dawn to spend time with this one...an endorsement I can't give to any other exercise products. I've had to add some more intense cardio and some strength/sculpt training, but as far as a motivating and energizing base to a program-this is it.

Budokon Weight Loss system review--outstanding !!!

| This is by far the best workout that I have ever purchased. It combines Tai Chi with Yoga for the perfect workout. Cameron Shayne walks you thru every step of this video. You will see results right away. My sister bought it first, and I liked it so well that I bought it for myself and both of my daughters. Friends started noticing a difference in my shape and ordered it themselves!! You can't miss with this video!! I am watching for Cameron's next video and will buy it immediately upon release. |
Nice set

I don't really agree with some of the problems the other reviewers have noted...probably because I don't own the original DVD so I can't compare the two.
I like this set because it does offer several different types of workout (yoga, karate, meditation) in one session, so I don't need to flip around different DVDs.
I do believe the Budokon system is genuine. They have a marvelous website and the idea is nice. Plus, this particular workout will inspire men to try yoga where they might not with one of the other tapes.
I didn't have a problem with either the weight loss guide or the inspirational cd, and the instructions on how to use all three together were good. This weight loss guide is much better than the one you receive with Balance Ball for weight loss, which I also have. |

This is great I've been on it for a week and I tell my stomach is getting flatter and firm and is starting to get smaller cause I can't eat as much as I could be for. I highly recommend this dvd.
